Plan B
Glass Half Full
Reading other people’s blogs always led me to learn something new. That’s the power of writing. I’m still very bad at it but you gotta try. Today, I share something with you. It helped me, and I hope it helps you, too.
A while ago, when I was researching some stuff about Email links. I stumbled upon an article co-written by Amy Hupe. I also read some posts on the author’s blog. The article Best laid plans caught me reading through and thinking about the message afterwards. It’s a very rare case I read something entirely from the beginning to the very last line, to be honest. I want to re-read it again but apparently, I forgot to bookmark the page. I remember the content but not the author’s name. It took me quite some time to be able to read it again. So, I decided to write a post about it.
I think the article resonates with me in some way. That’s why I want to read it a couple of times. I’ve got a completely different life story and I’ll spare everyone to hear it. But I’m going to tell you how I interpreted it.
Acceptance means you give yourself to yourself as you are.
Sometimes, bad things happen to us. We always hope it will get better soon. The reality is, it doesn’t. It’s getting worse! Do you have the mentality to take that even if you really want it to go away?
Not that hoping for better in the future is wrong. It’s natural to think in a positive direction. But the truth is, it might never happen. Life is hard, you know.
Maybe I’m a gloomy person. I tend to think of the negative things. I’m not good at preparing for the worst. I don’t even have a Plan B.
It’s not about giving up hope, instead, have faith in yourself. Whatever happens, life goes on. The world isn’t revolving around you.
This is like a situation of “glass half full”. You still have a half glass of water. Be grateful for what you got.
The good and the bad news is that there’s always a next chapter.
I’m feeling better now.
